Speedwolf are from Denver, CO and play Thrashy Speed Metal. Being that I am not a fan of Thrash Metal this should at least possibly change your mind on this release. This reminds me of Motorhead but even faster and angrier (if that's possible). So if you like that Motorhead sound that High On Fire go for on their early releases, then this bad boy is for you. Black Sleep of Kali

Black Sleep of Kali hail from Denver, Colorado. They play Stoner Doom Sludge Metal in the vein of such acts like Torche, High On Fire, Baroness, and Mastodon. I know that every "heavy" band that comes out today gets those sort of comparisons. However, Black Sleep of Kali bring a breath of fresh air to the genre. "Our Slow Decay" brings the catchy style of Torche with the riffs of High On Fire. Some songs even remind me of the Foo Fighters on steroids (torche has received the same comparison, i know) That's probably the best way to describe it without getting too generic. Basically, if you like any of the bands mentioned above, you'll most likely enjoy this record. Also, if you're tired of this genre, this will be your one exception. It's definitely worth a listen and trust me fruit loop, you won't be disappointed. Then when you're done, stop by their myspace and purchase their record (using the above links). Enjoy!
