Supposedly Today Is The Day has a solid lineup as opposed to their usual coming and going roster that has included members of Mastodon, Hate Eternal, and Nile. Avichi is a side project of Aamonael (nachtmystium & lord mantis). Pretty much your basic Black Metal album that Profound Lore puts out. Experimental, avant-garde, etc. If you're into Nachtmystium and Lord Mantis, you'll dig this as well. Great production, awesome sound to this album. Enjoy!

Bergraven

In celebration of our 100th Post! I have decided to post a band I've kept in my back pocket for about a year now. I was and sorta still am into a lot of the bands that Hydra Head puts out, like Isis, Big Business, Torche, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Old Man Gloom, etc. I noticed they host a few bands that are obscure black metal or noise or avant-garde or drone, I'm usually not a big fan. However, Bergraven caught my attention back when they were releasing "Till Makabert Väsen" and I decided to check out their 2 previous albums, "Fördärv" and "Dödsvisioner". I came to find that this band is fucking awesome, especially if you like Oranssi Pazuzu, and Den Saakaldte. Bergraven is a one man project from Sweden and play as you might have guessed, Avant-Garde Experimental Black Metal. So expect the unexpected from this band.
