Mastodon, Progressive Metal Heavyweights from Atlanta, Georgia. Hate 'em or love 'em, these guys are talented musicians. This is their new one and they seem to have gone back to making basic albums as opposed to their previous release, Crack The Skye that was a 7-Song Conceptual Album. Mastodon continue to progress on this one and I have say I quite enjoy it.

Ghost are from Sweden and play a unique mix of Psychedelic Rock and Heavy Metal. I say it's like Iron Maiden mixed with Blue Oyster Cult with the lyrics of a Satanic Black Metal band. Awesome vocals and weird looking band, with supposed members of Repugnant which is weird because Repugnant are awful. However, don't let that detour you... this is an awesome record from beginning to end. The production alone on this record will stun you, that mixed with the amazing vocal talent will have you bobbing your head to this Satanic Pop album (is there such a thing?). Enjoy

Dawnbringer, once Death Metal, now Heavy Metal band from Pennsylvania have tightened their belts for their newest release. Featuring Chris Black of Nachtmystium fame, Dawnbringer have tweaked their original sound for something new that can only be described as Heavy Metal with elements of Doom, Stoner, NWOBHM, and even Black Metal. The riff's and guitar work on this album are purely amazing and definitely outshine previous efforts from this band. "Nucleus" will definitely go down as the bands best release so far, so check it out!
